16th may 2009: Good news: here is a good chance for internet connection on the island via mobile phone. Everything depends on the strenght of the signal (because of distance between Island and Bodrum city), if allow errorless data transfer. If Yes, we will have regularly updated Online logs and some photo from the island. Stay tuned!
Slavek OK1TN has some necessary duty, cannot participate on the expedition and stayed at home.

some pictures of location AS-098

Operation starts on sunday 17.5., late evening and ends on friday 22.5., very soon morning.

Expedition will work CW/SSB with antennas: Spider beam for 14/18/21/24/28 MHz and wire loops for 30m,40m and two Power Amplifiers. Also is possible activity via Es on VHF bands – locator KM36RX depending on conditions during the stay on the island.

Elektricity on the island is available for approx. 8 hours daily, not for the whole day. So, expediton activity also depends on other sources of electricity, we expect 16-18 hours of operation daily.

Probability of internet connection on the island still exist, but is low, so online-log and some photo will be published when the ops arrive home.
