2010-12-12 10:18UT: Most of the direct cards was sent this week. Direct requests with 1 USD postage goes via the buro next week. Few direct QSL requests have qsos not in the log, these QSL cards will be returned to owners soon.
2010-12-02 17:28UT: Today, finally I have recieved nice TC03W QSL cards. I am starting immediately to work on direct cards as first, then buro cards, stay tuned. Stations, who sent insufficient postage(1USD is not enough) gets their cards via the buro. I add here soon list of such stations..
We have four types of TC03W QSL cards only. The first type below in the table with QSL card pictures (in upper left corner) was not printed...
2010-11-08 08:51UT: Bad news for people who sends direct card. In Czech Republic was increased postal fee (21 Czech Krons), now 1 USD does not cover postal fee for EU too. HAMs, which sent 1 USD gets their cards via the bureau. Sometimes people adds Czech postage stamps, now 18 Czech Krons is not enough, but 20 Krons for EU, 21 Krons outside EU.
We expect to recieve TC03W qsl cards in four weeks (starts from 2010-11-08), stay tuned.

2010-10-17 18:02UT: TC03W now broke goal with 10 thousands QSOs in the log! They are planning to work yet 3 or 4 hours and then they will finally go QRT. Thanks to all for nice pileups on the bands!
2010-10-17 15:32UT: weather is the whole time the same. Mostly windy,rainy, for some short time goes sun up but in few minutes is again dark sky and rainy .. Ops had today short visit by Bekir TA2RX/7 and TA7EB with friends and family from Giresun City. They brought some treat (local specialities) and all together spoke about the island and our nice hobby.
Some troubles occured with online log after the last update - now is not displayed QSO statistics.. I work on correction/ok2gz

2010-10-15 10:44UT: Ops had now strong wind and storm. Antenna for 17m falled down and TC03W was QRT for one hour. Now wx is better, 17m antenna again erected and TC03W is again QRV. In log is approx. 2000 QSOs.
2010-10-15 08:45UT: TC03W now works on two bands: 14.260 and 18.137 MHz. Ops have also ant for 30m and untill evening want to build wire loop for 40m. Today evening is chance for sending first online-log. stay tuned..
2010-10-13 7:45UT: Ops gained tightly before the beginning of the expedition quite new petrol power station with 5kW output power, but with half size in comparison with the previous one. Ops are planning to start their 650 km long way by two cars tomorow morning (14.10.) at 05:30 local time. Weather forecast for the first day of the expedition is not so good - the whole day rain, which has to stop on friday afternoon. So ops still don't know, on which time they will be able to finish operating tent, first antenna and be QRV. Chance to have good internet connection on the island via the mobile phone now seems to be high...
Dan OK1HRA and Honza OK2ZAW arrived yesterday in night to Ankara and today together with Pavel will make OK1MU final preparation before tomorrow's way to Giresun Is.
Group of OK radioamateurs Pavel TA2ZAF (OK1MU), Dan OK1HRA and Honza OK2ZAW are going to activate Turkey Island Giresun AS-154 in the Black Sea between 14.10. and 18.10.2010. Pavel TA2ZAF applied last chance for activation this year and started to organize this expediton by high speed and big effort only few weegs ago.
Giresun Is is one only Island creating the IOTA AS-154 and extends over the area of 39 thousands square meters, exact dimensions are 320 m of length and 200 m wide. Because of presence of rare sea birds Giresun is nature preserve and is closed for tourism etc. There is no electrocity, any human base. From this reason ops must transport the whole gear necessary for the expedition themself and operate from shelters as it was during TB0DX iota expedition.
We assume bad weather, often rainfall obvious for this time in Blacksea cost. From this reason we will work from one operating site in temporary workplace. When bad weather occur, then we expect to work with 100W only and Wire Loops. We know, how hard will be to get chance for QSO to JAs, North America ect with our small gun. But each time, when proper conditions occurs, we will try to get chance to work DX. EU stations will have good conditions 24 hours daily. From this reason please be patient!
QSL will go via Jarda OK2GZ as in previous TA IOTA expeditions, via OK BURO or DIRECT or via e-mail(on request ok2gz(@)seznam.cz).
In case of internet connection on the island (proper signal on mobile phone..) we have planned online-logs regularly updated as was in our previous TA IOTA expeditions, please stay tuned..
